Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta has explained how Cristiano Ronaldo almost moved to the Nou Camp for just €17million (£14.3m).
Ronaldo moved from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United in 2003 and went on to spend six years at Old Trafford before joining Real Madrid.
And Ronaldo has gone on to become an icon at Real. He is the club's top goalscorer in their entire history, with 376 goals from 363 games. Ronaldo has also twice inspired Real to win the Champions League, in 2013-14 and 2015-16.
